Knocking during deceleration

On top of everything else that needs doing (rear brakes, rear dampers, new exhaust), my girlfriends lovely Ka (sorry, I know - but it's almost a 500) 1.2 have developed a knocking during deceleration.. Most noticeable from 3000rpm down to 2400rpm. I've had a colleague with me in the car to have a listen as well, and we both assume it might be the RH driveshaft. The knocking disappears if I press the clutch (thus releasing it from gear).

Has anyone experienced anything similar? It's a bit frustrating, as it's only done 80000km...

Is there any noises on full lock in either direction ?
When it makes the noise is it very regular and does it change with road speed?
Is it a ticking type noise or more metal thud thud ?
What age is the car?

Haven't checked on full lock, only discovered it this morning.. But you have a good point, will check on full lock!
The noise is regular with rpm, only on coasting (as long as gear is engaged).
It's a thud, not just light ticking.
The car is a 2010, so closing in on 9 years.

If itīs the driveshaft, shouldnīt it be speed dependent, rather than RPM dependent ??
If itīs RPM dependent (at different speeds), it should be "before the gears"

I've observed it being most noticeable from 3000rpm down to 2400rpm in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear (as long as the gear is engaged).. So I'd like to believe it's either drive shaft or differential.

So the Sound developed on the way back from work. Became consistent, until I pressed.. You guessed it (or well you didn't), the brake pedal.
Jacked the car up when I got home, could barely touch right front disc, whereas the left was fine. Calipers are pretty much brand new (replaced them in October) - but that of course doesn't stop the brake pads from seizing in the carriers.. Simply put, she doesn't drive enough - the car has only done 3300km the last nearly 4 months.
