Hi-

I've just picked up my new 19 plate 500 lounge (62 plate purple 500 now looking very dejected on the drive)
It is, of course, perfect in every way BUT......I don't want parking sensors! I may be a blonde female but I know how to park beautifully without that awful noise distracting me!

SO- anyone know how I can disable the sensors? Salesman told me that it can't be done....but I am thinking y'all would be the peeps who would really know!

Potentially switchable in a menu.. or more involved.. possibly switched off by plug in software.

IDEA.. turn the volume right down..

The ecu is in the right hand side of the boot just behind the rear light, under the side carpet. You could disconnect the sensors from that.

The awful noise only occurs when you're within a metre of an obstruction (on my car at least) and could alert you to something you may not be able to see. I regard myself as a bit of a dab hand at parking too but I wouldn't dispense with the backup - particularly in the 500C.

I'm a bit of a Luddite.....although not adverse to a nice new shiny 500 (although I won't succumb to the bluetooth thingy!) Maybe I just need to get used to the awful noise and suck it up
