Hi everyone, hoping someone might help?
Recent problem just occurring on my 62 26k Twinair auto.
After a few yards I get a beep with S/S - both yellow triangles(one with circle round it, bottom right) and the red top right autobox light coming on.
The autobox light goes out but comes on intermittently and bleeps when braking at times.
I get in this order on the centre display -
ASR disconnect
Hill holder - Check
Transmission - see handbook
Start stop unavailable
ESP Unavailable

I’ve replaced the battery as I believed it to be the original on the 62 plate, but can’t be sure as I’ve only had it for 1 year.
Bought it with 14k and now done 26k in total. It’s Just had aservice and it’s running fine, it’s always felt a little lumpy tbh but just believed this to be a trait of the twinair? Could the coils also be failing at this age?
Unfortunately the battery didn’t solve the problem.

I know it will need a plug in diagnostics but just wondered if anyone else has had this issue?

Thanks, Phil

Before reading that thread (and maybe then getting depressed) you should check your tailgate wiring. (Search the forum)
If that's fine, then there's the earth lead, brake pedal switch and rear brake light connectors to check. (Search forum for each)
If they are all fine (Or if one of them fixes it) please post back the results for either the next batch of checks or some congratulations.

All are cheap and fairly easy fixes, and probably a good place to start.

Many thanks for your replies, I have read the dreaded autobox thread, not sure it’s that as it’s only intermittent when I brake at the moment.
The earth issue is definitely something I’ll check out.

Being it’s the 500c I don’t think it has the tailgate wiring through the rear boot?

I think I’ll still get the error codes checked, hopefully it’ll be a faulty sensor!!

So, decided to have a fiddle with the brake switch after booking it in next Monday at my local garage.
Gave the switch under the passenger footwell a twist but didn’t take it right out, gave it flick & thought, that can’t be that easy!?!?
Now been driving for 20 miles & no warnings or bleeps!
Will be replacing it next week just incase it happens again but think this was the cause!
Very happy
Hope this helps future problems for others!
