I've rebuilt my daughters 2008 Fiat 500 1.0 Lounge after a front end bump in which the front airbags triggered and the drivers side pre-tensioner fired.

I've replaced the air bags and the pre-tensioner and had the airbag ecu reset but still get an airbag fault light.

I'm guessing a crash sensor needs replacing but can't seem to locate it - I've read that there is one somewhere on the front slam panel ?

Are the ones in the door pillars just for side impact protection or could it be one of those ?

Can anyone enlighten me please ?

There are no other crash sensors except for those side ones. Although there may be an inbuilt one in the ECU. Sometimes when having ECUs cleared it will clear the crash data but not the codes. You would have to plug into MES to clear them.

Are you sure the seatbelt hasn’t gone too? MES will tell you if you still have a faulty bag or sensor.
