fuse box location on Fiat 500 2009

I have a fiat 500, 2009, the rear brake lights, dash panel, rear wipers were faulty, the 5amp fuse kept blowing so the wiring harness was repaired. I now have further faults and the wiring harness under the glove box is in such a bad way that the garage are now saying a new wiring loom is needed and potentially new ECU is required. I challenged this and said they worked on the wiring harness under the glove box, but they are saying that they did not work on the fuse box in the glove box and only worked not the rear of the vehicle. I am a complete novice and don't know how to challenge them so need advice on where the fuse box is located and would the garage have had to work on the wiring under the glove box?/. thank you

There is a fuse box under there and also under the bonnet next to the battery.

Sounds like the hatch wiring. If they’ve only repaired it rather than replacing it with a fixing kit which is widely available then I would suggest they haven’t done the job properly.

Disconnect the earth to the battery, put the hatch up and pull out the concertina rubber where the wiring comes out of the roof into the hatch. Can you see any broken wires or damaged outer wire casing? That is most likely where your trouble lies.

It may not be obvious straight away as the constant up and down of the hatch can damage the wires inside the insulation.

If that is the case you can buy a repair kit, you don’t need to have a complete new loom.

I would say as above, have the rear hatch wiring checked/properly repaired(by someone else maybe?) Before anything else is attempted try calling a mobile auto electrician? It's a very well known issue, and can make many other car systems do strange things so it's important to sort it sooner rather than later.
