Technical Shifting cables access help

Hi, this is my first post ...

I ordered from the net some replacement for the plastic bushing at the end of the shifting cables for my 2013 Fiat 500 (manual transmission) after they got disconnected / broken and I got stuck on second gear ... (fiat 500 manual transmission cable repair kit) ...

so I can find easily some instructions to replace those bushing on the net ... but all instruction videos starts with the guy with the cable in his hands ... so does anybody have any precise instructions on how to access these ? I can see the cable at the back of the motor and see the broken connection but the place is very tight and can’t figure out how to get there ? From under the car it look almost impossible and from the top I still can’t figure it out ... Looks like I have to dismantle half of the car ! Is there some trick l’m missing here ?

It as a reasonably common failure I believe.

In the UK we tend to call that the the Gear LINKAGE

Rather than trying to replace it, if the inner ball joint has separated from the green socket superglue does the trick. I did that on one well over a year ago and it’s still going strong. Take the battery and tray out to get to it.
