No you have to take it out as the screws are on the back. It’s easy to do. I’ll do a separate thread with how to do it. I’m doing one on my latest car as I’m changing the dash so I’ll do a video when I do it. Maybe next week unless Christmas gets in the way.

Hi, thanks. Yes I looked at mine properly today (photo attached) and the fog light is on the rear left only. Did you have to buy two new U.K. rear light units ? Could I just add a third party fog light on the right bumper?

Thanks, yes I had a look today and I only have rear fog light on the left. Did you get 2 new U.K. units for each side, or could I just add an aftermarket fog light bottom right? Just thought too, I could just get a U.K. right side rear light with the fog light in and keep the French left so I have 2 fog lights!

No I routed the wiring so to invert the lights and changed the rear lens, but you can just add another rear fog light on the over side.

So you just changed the right lens and routed the fog light from left to right? But isn’t the opposite one the reverse light meaning I’d have to change both the lenses and switch the wiring over?

Ok, makes sense, I’ll get 2 U.K. rear light lenses then.

I just looked at wires behind each. For the left one with the fog light (first photo) which wire will I need to cut and redirect to the right side so the fog button activates on the right, and which wire in the second photo (current right side) will I need to cut and redirect to the left for the reverse light? I’m guessing brown on left and green/white on right?

Hi Italian Job - would you be able to advise which of the above wires are the reverse and fog light wires?

I was thinking instead to purchase an aftermarket rear fog light to affix to the offside and run a wire to it from the existing fog light connection so that both the current and new fog lights would come on when the dash button was pressed (so I would have one of the left and one of the right). Would this work?

If so, could I just screw into the bumper a lamp like this from ebay?

Just buy the right side don't think(stand to be corrected) there's an issue if the reversing light is not white on older cars pre 18 reg? Will still need to rewire them if you k ow what you're doing a few beefy diodes will give you twin fog lights and single reversing light

For the headlights will any pre 2015 lights fit my 2008 model? Also will the lights be stable if one of the lugs/brackets is broken? And lastly some ads say adjuster motor not included, can I use the ones I already have in my LHD car and where are they located, in the headlights themselves? Thanks in advance, I just don’t want to order the wrong headlights!

Any headlight pre facelift will fit. If you have broken lugs you can get a full 3 lug replacement/repair kit on eBay for £9.99. You grind off the old broken part and screw on the new lug/s. The threaded screw holes are already there on the lights. I’ve used these a few times. Lights are good as new.

I’ve never had a light that didn’t have an adjuster motor even when fitting cheap Chinese ones.
