Does anyone know what the resistance should be across the radiator fan motor and if there should be any continuity when testing? My multimeter is reading '1' for both (open circuit).
So far I have read some good threads here to switch aircon on/off to ID if it's the solenoids. I've checked the fuses and solenoids (they are OK), I've changed both temp sender (engine block mounted) and radiator fan resistor (radiator housing mounted) but still the fan doesn't cut in.
My assumption is the fan motor needs replacing.

With my old puntos..

After a scrapyard visit..
I got a plug and 30cm of harness.

Easy to connect a 12volt supply direct to the fan.

I posted a guide on a cheap fan replacement also.

( does the blade spin by hand ok?)

eLEARN may give some testing figures..

Take the fan off and test by connecting to the battery?
Does your car have a.c.? Standard pops don't.

Far simpler to give direct power to the fan motor.
If it runs ok. Then work back through the wiring to find the control fault.

Of course using software to trigger fan running within the cars wiring looms is also relatively simple.

Here’s a pic as I’m just changing a front end now! IMG_0009.JPG

Assume you checked the fan resistor has not gone Open circuit.

You can also use FIAT ECU Scan to test both fan speeds whilst in the car.
