Hi there! I'm new to the forum (and Fiat 500s!) and have a problem I hope someone here may be able to advise on!

One of the 'slats' (not sure if that's the right word) has broken and fallen out of my centre dash vent. Unfortunately it's broken in a way that I haven't been able to glue it back together so I either need to source a new one or replace the whole vent entirely; I'm trying to avoid the latter as it's otherwise working fine, it's just annoying to look at.

I've googled and eBayed my little heart out and can't find these things for sale so I'm assuming they can't be bought individually? I was wondering if anyone had any tips on where to find one of these in case I've missed a trick?

I did find a thread from earlier in the year on a similar issue but wasn't sure if it was frowned upon to resurrect old topics.

Hi and welcome,

I would contact sellers that are breaking 500’s and ask them if they have this available. They don’t always list all the parts they have. Hope this helps.

Thank you! I didn't think to search for that and have got to work messaging sellers who are breaking up 500s for parts! :)

You could try https://fiat500spares.co.uk they have an ebay account and break parts, have bought odds and ends from them in the past, you could get these from an blown airbag dash, relatively cheaply too.
 
Me again! I'm struggling to get the part back into the vent, it's not flexible at all so I haven't been able to bend it slightly to get it back into the holes on either side. I was thinking it might be easier to do it from the back of the vent?

I know I'd need to take the radio out to get the vent out (which I have found some helpful forum posts on how to do), but then I'm not sure if the front part of the vent (the trim?) seperates from the rest of it?
 
Yes it does. Once you have taken it out the front and back separate by depressing tabs. Fiddly as you need more than two hands. Once it’s out you should be able to flex the bit I sent you to get into the holes.
The vent is held on to the dash by two screws which are under the radio. It then just pulls out.
