Hi, I'll try to explain the best I can.

About a month ago, I replaced the battery. I installed the new one, everything was going fine. But at some point going 100 kph on a highway the car shut down for half a second and the powered up again, like if I would've turned the key to the off positions and then on.

Has happened several times, sometimes it goes 3 days without it happening, sometimes it happens 3 times on a single trip.

Sometimes when it turns back up the radio will stop working, it would just say PHONE and nothing else happens until: a) it happens again or b) manually unplug the battery for 30 seconds.

Has anyone here had a similar problem? Can it be one of the battery terminals being loose?

Cheers and thanks,

It's strange that when it shuts down, the car starts up again immediately.

Usually if something is loose and that kills the ignition, it doesn't become "not loose" just the next second.

Have a look for a dirty or loose earth, clean and tight battery connections and also the fuses for Services and particularly the fuel pump. Also check the connector blocks into the Body Control Module, fuse box and ECU.

If the problem only happens when the car is hot, then it could be a failing TDC sensor. A new one isn't too expensive, so if you can't find anything else wrong with it then this might be worth a try.
