I'm trying to replace the door mirror on my Daughters 500. It fell apart and ended up dangling on the wire.

I have ordered after market cheaper ones of Ebay, but both times they supplied a RH mirror for a Left had drive car. They were angled too far in and could not be adjusted to give a good rear view for the RHD Driver position.

I have now just ordered another from Shop4Parts at about £70, but again they have supplied what looks like a RH mirror for a Left Hand drive car.

Does anybody know of a supplier who can get the right part at a more reasonable price than the Fiat Dealer?

Many thanks

Very difficult to get an aftermarket mirror for RHD cars. The aftermarket for LHD is much bigger, and most of these mirrors will be made in the far east so UK dealers just buy what is offered without understanding. Used to be the bane of my life when I worked for an aftermarket parts supplier, trying to get the buyers to pay attention.

Quite likely all the ones you've tried come from the same initial source.

If you can't live with these, your choice is probably limited to OE (expensive), or sourcing one from a scrap car.

I fitted large mirrors to the Panda, and see a little more of the car than I'd like, but acceptable as the pair were less than the price of one OE.

Funny thing is it's cheaper to order the heated mirror than non heated?

That is a bit strange. Wonder if it’s down to the heated mirrors being more commonly ordered. I had a heated mirror fail, so had to order one from S4P a few years back.

Do you think that the wires would be there for the heating on our pop just not heated glass? IE could I fit heated glass? The wiring diagram shows its simply fed fron the rear screen feed.

I've just replaced a drivers door mirror on a friends car and had no issues at all getting one. Euro Car Parts. With the discount it was just under £60. Only problem was they first supplied a painted one for a lounge when I ordered a POP one.

I once had to do the hokey kokey with a mirror for my old Alfa 145.

I canabilised the OE mirror and fitted the parts (the painted cover) to a new (unpainted) mirror body. The new mirror came with glass that had a different level of magnification from memory, so I had to change that as well but the new (unpainted) mirror and the glass was still not to shocking money.

Thanks all for your help and suggestions. I ordered an aftermarket one from Shop4parts, but they delivered a LHD drive one. However when I pointed this out they immediately replaced it with the correct genuine one. Many thanks Mike for correcting it so quickly. Great service!

S4P are great, can’t complain about them at all.
