Now still fairly new to the 500 forum cos I came across from the other side having owned a diesel panda for 205000 miles .
So basically the phone blue tooth through the radio hasn't worked for a long time and I can turn the radio up on the steering wheel but not down and the the mileometer flashers but this doesn't bother me. About 6momths ago it was parked up for a week and the battery was completely flat and so as its 3years old and the pandas battery just died at a similar age I just bought a new one to be sure . How ever a month ago it was parked up for a week and the new battery was completely flat again. So this time checked battery and its losing 1/2amp continually (car locked or open) the fuse f01 if removed will stop this ,now the fuse feeds many functions being 60amp one being the blue and me I think so my intention is to find the Blue and me and unplug it to see what happens (I've bought and used a mutiscan and it carnt find the problem
So has any one else unplugged it out of couriosity with a similar problem because I carnt see what else could do it except maybe an alternator fault but the Bluetooth is faulty anyway

Never had this my problem with my panda so learning .
Done a proxy alignment with the mutiscan and I carnt remember the exact words but it couldn't find something or other.
How many ecu's does a 500 have
I don't mind if the blue doesn't work I just don't want it ruining my battery so was hoping I could disconnect it cos something is using 1/2 amps

Hmmmmm I wouldn’t have thought so. When the CANBUS goes to sleep, the blue&me ECU should go to sleep as well. I doubt the ECU would cause this itself.

I've pulled other fuses out when the main F01 is still in and I still get discharge
Out of couriosty the radio on my 500 reacts immediately when I turn it on i.e no delay like some cars I've owned is that because there is a small battery/capacitor? In there being charged up all the time keeping it ready to go straight away

I think the clue here is in the original post, the blue and me doesn't work and hasn't done for some time, and the mileage is flashing on the dash, can't proxies align it, suggests the blue and me ECU has packed up and isn't playing nice, turning on and off as it should, hence the battery drain.

Thing is, that could be a symptom, or the root cause.

Usually if something drops off the bus then it wouldn’t cause quiescent drain like this. I would have a look at the body computer tbh.

Is the blue and me the body Computor you are referring to ? And how many functions does it control .or is the blue and me an off shoot of yet another Ecu

Blue&Me is it’s own ECU. It controls Blue&Me and that’s it. The body computer interfaces between a lot of ECUs and components.

Excellent ...with it on 60amp fuse circuit obviously other current consumers are involved so stand alone blue and me is good ...hopefully over the weekend I can remove side panel because that's where I think it is unplug it and see what happens ..like I said I've put up with flashing odeometer lights for 25000 miles it's the risk of ruining another battery when parked up that worries me

I'd agree if its just dropped off and become out of sync with everything else, however if the blue and me computer is toast then who knows what it could be doing.

If parked for a prolonged period just whip off the negative lead using the quick disconnect?
