Re: Air Bag Light

A brand new airbag controller and fault is still there. The Multiecuscan doesn't see any errors now though

I'll double check the connectors but looks like an expensive trip to Fiat

Re: Air Bag Light

That doesnít really make sense. MES would tell you if there were any errors.

Re: Air Bag Light

If it was bad connections MES would give you errors.

Re: Air Bag Light

typecastboy, I agree, I'll put the old one back in to see if comes up with the same errors. I'll have to check the connections again as well. Puzzling as there is an obvious airbag warning on the dash.

Re: Air Bag Light

Check the pins on the ECUs they are easily bent and broken. Iíve damaged them twice myself. Also check the plugs the best you can. Itís always a bit of a stretching game getting the cables out of the way when getting the ECU in and out.

If the air bag light comes on do you get a message on the display too not just the light? Could it be the display faulty?

Re: Air Bag Light

Ive never had an airbag light without an airbag message ďAirbag FailureĒ, so thatís a possibility that it could be the speedo I suppose. The fact that youíre not getting any error messages would make sense then.

Re: Air Bag Light

As I understand the issue, I have the same one: airbag light on, no error on scanning tool and the seat belt light disappear.
Any one ever solved this problem?

Red Airbag light is On with "airbag failure" message, no lights or warning sound for seat belts and no error faults on scanning tool.

Hi,
This is the same problem as this thread:
https://www.fiatforum.com/500/464266...ut-errors.html

Please don't start multiple threads or or re-open old ones on the same issue. It just causes confusion, wastes people's time and forum bandwidth.

Robert G8RPI.
