Technical Early Twinair DMF failure

Had my Panda TA 4x4 3 years next April. 2016 with 49k. Spent £2.5k maintaining it. Clutch and DMF been fine though it's 85bhp. In your shoes would I be happy to see 57k miles on newly fitted bits?! Yes because would take car to end of it's natural life. Sure the 1.2 500 wouldn't have this issue maybe. But wouldn't be as much fun to drive.

Thanks again.

We were on course for a 1.2 but muggins here decided on the spunky version so I guess it’s my fault.

Fiat garage with it’s possible manufacturer contribution has now been dropped and what seems to be a knowledgeable local garage is to drop clutch & DMF and check gearbox next Wed.

Will report.

Thanks for replies

Done for £1100 at local indie. £477 parts, 6 hours at £70 p/h + VAT.

Main bearing failed on DMF and centre mount for clutch damaged presumably due vibration, meaning both replaced, slight damage to gearbox nose cone but reworked.

Car is transformed, far smoother drive now.
