I’ve a 2011 500c twin air which suffers misfire on cold wet starts, running on one pot not a great sensation! Had it analysed by a very trusted mechanic who diagnosed as needing one of the uni air actuator assembly units changing but as this needs specialist tooling and expertise he was unable to carry out the repair.
Has anyone got experience of this? I am loathe to go to local dealership who have proved incompetent at every level since purchase (and who have previously quoted £1100 for the replacement part!) so would ask if anyone in Kent or the South East of England can recommend someone I can call and talk to? Otherwise the car is brilliant and once the misfire clears it is perfect! Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear you've got a problem; unfortunately this particular issue is quite often reported here.

Generally folks replace the uniair actuator assembly complete. You can buy the complete assembly at a discount, here. If you make a donation to the forum, we'll give you a code to get a further 10% off that price.

I wouldn't recommend running it more than absolutely necessary with a faulty uniair unit as you could cause damage to the catalytic converter.

Thanks, coil packs checked and definitely the actuator, looking for someone to do it for me, south east England, I’m near Canterbury so anywhere in Kent would be fab!

Brilliant. I need a trusty garage that’s done this sort of thing before, preferably in Kent or somewhere in S.E., any ideas? Thanks
