Does the inner arch need to be removed to do this, nothing found in the owners manual on changing the bulb?

No it’s a normal P21 lamp (can see it through the lens), but can’t see how to get the light unit out to change it.

My son with his flexible arms managed to get it out by lying on his back and reaching under the bumper. It isn’t a P21 though it’s a strange looking thing.

Now you have the bulb out, just go to your nearest car spares shop and they will match it up with a new one.

All sorted, it’s a W16W lamp. Swapped it out with an LED version which is so much brighter.

Did you get 'CanBus' compatable LED's so as not to throw a fault on the dash or did 'ordinary' LED's work OK?

I bought can bus ones from Amazon. They come in pairs, but you obviously only need one. They are also not polarity conscious so doesn’t matter which way around you fit them.

And the reversing light is the one exterior light that you can change to LED and still be legal
