My "Twinair S" does not have the "City" mode power steering option it has "ECO" instead, a turbo boost. This is my 3rd TA but this one for some reason the steering is heavier than the rest. It has 13k miles, 2014 model. Any ideas?

My Twin Air has a Sport button (permanently on I might add) which sets the power at 105HP but it also makes the steering heavier.

Sport mode on, heavier steering
Sport mode off (Eco) lighter 'city' steering.

It is a feature mentioned in the manual. Have a try to see whether setting your ECO lightens the steering.

At 4years old there is potential for both mechanical and electrical degradation.

I would get the steering ECU interrogated.

Then check battery and earth lead.

Not had any EPAS without the 'girly button'
So cannot comment apart from the fact I find it a little pointless.

Has your car got wider-different tyres.??

Sure, I will. I am not sure if my one has an electric pump or mechanical. Not sure if it has fat tyres either but the ride is very smooth and also you can go over the speed limit without realising, it feels you are going slower!
