I’m replacing my drivers door as mine has been damaged. The replacement doesn’t have any glass. Has anyone removed and replaced the glass and if so any tips?

Thanks, think I’ll wait until I have someone else around just to make sure I don’t drop it ?

It wasn’t too bad after all, although I discovered how fragile the plastic lifter on the window regulator is! I stripped the rubbers off to make it easy to get in, discovered you have to get the window right down so the plastic clip can be fed into the channel then went to slit the window into the regulator. It was at this point the little springy arm snapped off! Luckily the one in my door was fine so just swapped them over.

I’ve got the new door now (as described on the new thread about a new door vs old car). It came without glass and as i had never put glass in before the seller who delivered it showed me how to do it. Insert the glass from the outside. The secret is to have the regulator wound down to the lowest point. As you insert the glass into the runners and get it to the bottom the clip just slots into the hole in the glass. Literally takes seconds. Glad I know now as I’ve always looked for doors with glass as I was scared of putting g glass in as I always break that clip when taking it out as I’ve always done it with the glass wound up, rather than down.
