With all the thefts of parts and cars going on near me I feel I want to add an alarm to my Fiat 500s. I’m tracking through Amazon but there are just some many.

Want to have the doors and bonnet wired ideally as well as a shock sensor. I want to try and find something under £50.

Any ideas or recommendations?

I have a titan ds512 alarm on my fiat bravo works with the canbus system and has an app you can check to see if cars locked plus and kill switch mines attached to the ignition so just kills the car completely illegal but no one's getting away in it even with the keys

I have a Tytan DS410 alarm which was fitted by these guys www.securityfx.co.uk in Croydon (bad website, great service.) Two of them came to my house and fitted it in about 90 minutes. It cost me £270 all fitted and that includes:

Door, bonnet and boot sensors
Interior motion sensors
Two sirens - one in front and one in the rear bumper - battery backed up
Blue LED by the gearstick that flashes continually when set
CANBUS system so works using the original Fiat key
Extra fob so now the spare non-remote Fiat key can also lock and unlock the car remotely

It bleeps once locking, twice when opening and has been faultless this far. You wouldn't know it was fitted if it weren't for the LED and the motion sensors under the windscreen.

They are fitting a lot of these and are getting work referred to them from local Fiat dealers - someone who works there gave us the number.

The price is only a few £ more than Fiat charge for a second remote key which you effectively get with this alarm. Trust me, when you have no car for a month while Fiat continually forget to order the individual parts that make up a front bumper and all the electrics within and trims and badges then have to pay a £350 excess, the price for the alarm is value for money! The thieves clearly know that a factory fitted alarm is not even an option on 500s these days so they can harvest them up at their leisure.

Yes, you’re absolutely right but as these are for Cars I sell I don’t want to be spending that sort of money. I think these thefts will taint the market for the 500 at least round this area. Hopefully, me putting alarms in the cars I sell will bring the love back.

Seriously considering getting one of these fitted (being local ish, to you both). Will it mess with the warranty at all?

I’ve just bought a Hawk one and it came with specific instructions for the 500

Had plenty of Hawk systems in our older pre canbus Fiat's - Nice bits of kit, and I've been to their base in London to collect in person before.

Is this one you've bought designed to integrate with and operate the canbus system?

Not sure. I’m probably not going to bother wiring up the immobiliser as I think the inbuilt one is sufficient. What do you Think?

Hi, new owner here, just bought a genuine Fiat 500 alarm and will be fitting it asap but before I do, is there anything I need to be aware of with these cars?
Its a 63 plate 500 sport if that makes any difference.
Cheers

I had the genuine Mopar one fitted to my A595 before collection.

It’s pin to pin so integrates with the car’s systems & utilities the original remote.

It’s made by Meta and is a recognised 2-1 upgrade.

Sorry to resurrect this thread. But just picked up a 68 plate A595. I'm also looking for the can-bus Mopar alarm to keep it as stock as possible. Any idea what model or P/N it was that you had installed?
