I've just purchased my second hand Fiat 500 and love it. Its a 2012 version and I think it's the Pop. Photos attached. I'm now looking at customising it and am ordering authentic Fiat parts from a dealership.

The parts that I am ordering are:

Rear Chrome Bumper
Front Chrome Bumper Protection
Side Mouldings
Chrome Bonnet Line
Chrome Number Plate Frame

My question is this. When these parts arrive, is it likely that I will be able to fit them myself? And if so, what should I use? The accessories are quite pricey so ideally I dont want to have to spend money on having them fitted for me if I can do it myself. I must make it known that I've never styled or accessoriesed a car before, so I'm a newbie. I would really appreciate any advice on what I should do, what I could use to fit the accessories if I do it myself and just general info.

I am still undecided about purchasing the Chrome A Bar - I think that might look a bit much.

I'll also need to remove both the back and front Fiat badges as they show signs of wear and tear, and I have purchased genuine replacement ones. Advice on the fitting of these would really be appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Have you ordered from your local fiat dealer? If so he should be able to give you a price for fitting for each of the items (they know how long it should take them to the minute!). I know because when I had a pop just like yours I was going to do the same and didn't fancy doing it myself.
I had a hyundai fitted with a trim kit by the dealers and when it became unstuck some months later they replaced it under guarantee, the adhesive hadn't worked too well fitted in winter.

You'll be wanting some nice alloys next!

Definitely alloys next! Although now that it has been established that the second hand dealership sold me the car as a 2012 Lounge, it's actually the 2012 Pop 1.2.

So my next questions is.. What size alloys / rims does my car have?

A pair of chrome mirror caps wouldn't go amiss either. One of the easiest mods.

There's a post here;

about fitting the bumper chrome bits, might be useful.

Measuring up and getting the side mouldings fitted right would be the hardest part I reckon. At least if one is out a little bit out no-one's ever going to know.

The bonnet spear is critical though - it's got to be exactly right. I measured and marked my bonnet out with masking tape and checked and rechecked several times before I peeled that first bit of backing tape off and applied one end - even then I checked again before finally pulling the tape out and rubbing it down. Once it's down, that's where it stays (for four years now).

If you are doing it yourself pick a warm day and clean the adhesion areas thoroughly with isopropyl or similar.
