Hi just noticed this today

there is a noise like quite a loud whirring sound coming from what i think the clutch, only happens when i release the clutch from a standing start to go forwards or backwards. sound goes away once car is away and clutch is fully released. sounds like im describing a clutch release bearing could that be right

anybody had anything similar ? or know of any issues which could explain this

Yes, it happens on virtually all twin airs. Clutch release bearing I believe. I’ve had two twin airs, did it on both.

crazy, it sounds like its had it, so no fault, just a quirk of the twin air ??

It's the throw-out bearing making that noise. My wife had this on her TwinAir, it was making crazy sounds in the morning when moving the car out from the driveway or when reversing. Changed the clutch last weekend and the noise is gone.
