So my girlfriend just bought a 2010 Ford Ká (yes, I know this is a Fiat forum, but it's basically a Fiat 500 anyway) with the good old 1.2 engine. It's only done 52000km, and last night I did a needed service on it - oil change and air filter.
When I pulled the airbox of, I noticed a lot of gunk/mayo in the throttle body - that doesn't seem normal to me, and definitely not something I've seen on my Punto? Oil level just on the low side before I did the service, but water level is fine.
Does the Euro 4 vent a higher level of oil vapour through, than the Euro 3 in my Punto, causing this build-up?
I cleaned the TB out, but will need to keep an eye on it.

Have anyone else experienced high levels of oil residue/gunk/mayo in the TB of their Fiat 500?

That's about 5500 miles a year-that alone will gunk the throttle body up as many short runs never warm the engine up properly-

According to MOT history it only did 8000km in the first 4 years. It's last MOT was in June last year, at 32000km, so it's done 20000km in a year. Would there then still be leftovers?
She's currently driving it about 200km daily, so not really any short journeys to worry about atm. Hopefully not seeing more returning then.
