Am I correct in thinking that on the new Fiat 500, the only way to know what the time is, is to turn the Radio on? Really? They could not keep the clock on the main dashboard like it was on the 2015 model even though the dashboard is almost identical in size and graphics?

The date and time are both shown on the central instrument cluster. You might have something else displayed on there e.g. range, trip counter etc. You should be able to click the button on the end of the right wiper stalk until the date and time show on there.
I've got a facelift 2016 Fiat 500 Lounge with Uconnect radio but the old style display in the instrument binnacle. Definitely still a clock there.
