Sadly, unfortunately for you, you live in London and that in itself is just an excuse for charging you top prices for everything, but then again, living in the Smoke, you'll know that anyway.

You could also consider going further afield outside of London. I've personally travelled two hours to a garage before now because of excellent service and a great price, knocking in a day out to somewhere else in the process.
I understand your wish to avoid dealerships, but don't forget, lots of independent garages don't have access to the correct diagnostics for your vehicle, they won't update your ECU with the latest software updates etc and you won't have evidence of bodywork anti-perforation checks etc. There's actually quite a lot to be said for dealership servicing, especially in the first 3 years.
You could have a look at the Fiat dealership network locator. I used to regularly play off several different dealerships against each other on pricing for servicing. They'll tell you the rate is set by Fiat, it's BS, they charge what they want (within reason) as a Service Manager at a dealership once confessed to me.
If your car is over 3 years old, some Fiat dealerships do fixed price services for 'older' vehicles.
