Hi all, I tried searching the FF and only topics I could find were in relation to the rear screen wipers.

My issues is that the screen wash reservoir is draining, so it is either cracked or pipe leading from it is.

Has anyone replaced the reservoir or repaired it? Is it a complicated job?

Shouldn't be complicated, once you've found it.

On the Panda it is under the front wing (fender), so the wheelarch liner has to be pulled away. Once visible, it is held in by only two bolts I think and pump and hoses are accessible.

500 should be similar. Before dismantling anything, make notes or diagrams of hose routing, connections and wiring connections. Connecting wrong way around may wash the wrong screen.

Not complicated, though I had to move it when doing the suspension.
I had the bumper off which made it easy, its a simple job in itself provided you can get all the bolts/screws out, maybe easier for you in your dryer climate? You may be able to do it just moving the wing guard but one bolt is near the front and access maybe tight.
here's a link to show how quick and "easy" it is to remove the bumper, note don't pull away the sides like in the video, carefully from underneath ease the clips apart!

Thanks for that.

The car might have to go to a mechanic, don't have my own garage to do all that or the tools required.

Maybe it's going to be a loose pipe or I could see the leak without removing the screenwasher reservoir and patch it up without removing it.

OK, I think I pinpointed the leak.

It's a black rubber joint which attaches to the body of the car, just behind the engine and below the windscreen, straight in the middle. Photos attached.

It's completely ripped.

When I get a chance I might try to duck tape it, until I can get the part for it.

What would replacing it involve? Removing anything? Has anyone done it before?

Also, what would this part be called? Having trouble finding it online.

Thanks heaps guys

There's a picture, with a lot of black and shadow. Can't see exactly what you want us to look at.

Usually the pipe goes from the pump all the way to the jets, with just a T-piece somewhere near the jets. No reason for any other connectors. Are we just looking at a clip that holds the pipe to the body? In which case you just need some new pipe.

Here, car accessory shops stock standard bore pipe and straight connectors, making a repair of replacing a short section easy. Or for more work, replace the whole length.

Hopefully the pic will help.

I see that I was not clear enough in my description.

If you look at the photo, on the left side you can see a thin black hose running towards right. The hose is secured against the body of the car and it leads into a black rubber joint, which is about 10cm in size and is secured to the body of the car.

In the photo, the 10cm rubber piece which is ripped, is straight behind the larger black plastic piece of the engine which is in the forefront of the photo.

This 10 cm rubber piece guides water out of the engine bay and up to windscreen nozzles ( I think).

It's possibly part number 7 from Portland's diagram.

I hope that makes somewhat more sense.

In the UK, that part is around £13. Google can't find much reference to it, so I assume it does not fail often. Sourcing from your nearest dealer might be the only option.
If it is not this you want, it would be the splitter behind, but that might be more obvious.

It is listed for Panda too. Been a long day, and late now, but if I have time tomorrow in daylight, I'll have a look at mine. Quite intrigued.

Just in case someone reads this few years down the track, the problem was resolved.

The water bottle pump pressure is quite high, so hose in scuttle bay area between the windscreen and engine was coming loose and water was leaking.

A clamp is now placed on a connection and it works fine.
