Repair heater hose air bleed valve

Hello everyone, the air bleed valve on my heater hose at the back of the engine is leaking. Is there a temporary fix I can try to keep the car going until I can get a replacement part?

Many thanks

Piece of rubber on the top with a penny on top and a clamp round it?

If you're very good with a drill, drill out the very center to about 3mm go in stages 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5 then jam in a flat blade screwdriver and "simply" unscrew the remaining bit. This is what I did to the old one(off the car) after replacing the whole hose with a new one for that exact reason.
I'm told the screw is the same size as a plastic number plate screw, but you will also need the tiny rubber sealing ring that goes at the head end of the screw, if you still have the top bit it may still be on it, the clip near the bulk head pipe "snaps" apart but is a pain to access.

This is the(rubber) pipe part number(dealer only part I think) and pipe that rusts through, the metal pipe can be changed without too much issue, just getting to the bolt is tricky(remove fan) and clean off all the engine block rust before removing metal pipe.
Metal pipe if required; https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/?name=s...786&sku=268110

A suitably sized setscrew with an O ring around the bottom of the shank.

Actually this would make a perfectly good permanent replacement. Less fragile than the stupid plastic bleed screw, and saves the price of a new hose.
