Technical RPM sensor help

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me, I keep getting the error code p0335 for the RPM sensor. I've replace the sensor and I have checked the contunuity of the wiring but I still seem to get this error? Does anyone have any ideas of what else I could check?

I have the exact same problem on fiat punto hgt 1.8 ...

Do u have some problem with rough idle, sudden stalling on the car usually when stopping?
