I am new to the group and would like to understand if any other owners out there have experienced problems with excessive wear of the rear breaks. I have a FIAT 500 Sports, purchased in 2014 and was required to replace rear rotors and pads in two instances whilst the car had only traveled 18,000KM between repairs. The car is only used for city driving, by my wife and certainly not used at high speeds. I have owned several cars in my life but have never come across or have had to replace both rotors and pads after such short distance. Appreciate any comments and recommendations. Thanks Matteo

The reaction frames are less likely to be an issue on AU cars.

I'd say blame the wife, too much throttle followed by too much brake, that and a lot of OEM brake pads/ rotors are very soft (cheap) get some name brand replacements next time. City driving is where brakes wear out.
