Hello guys, I want to add an aux connection into my fiat 500,
it is a 2013 fiat 500, my pop, no blue&me.

the model of the radio included is Bosch 312 (Image here: goo.gl/nqsKLX).

I bought the yellow aux cable (this one: goo.gl/uKPXDl) but it is not working, when pressing CD it says no source available, and if I go to modes it shows CD and AUX but I cannot switch to it.

I read here in a lot of threads the yellow cable works only on the other radio (blankupt I think), but is there any solution for the bosch model? The cost of this in my country is 100$ and I believe it will be cheaper if I do it my own, does anyone know how to work this out?

Did anyone solve this as I’m having the same issue as well

This is interesting to me, looks like the pop I have has no blue and me then....
It does have an aftermarket lead out of the centre console (with an old Apple connector, a female usb and an aux jack) which I suspect goes to the radio....pressing the cd button does nothing.

Would an aftermarket stereo be able to do hands free phone calls too?

I used to drive a pop obviously it had no blue & me what I did was to install a Bluetooth aftermarket stereo I bought a super long usb lead and routed it to the centre console and added a mic ..... I actually found the mic housing that inserts into the head lining and routed the mic to it

It worked faultlessly

Thanks Baglady -

Typecastboy (thanks TCB) responded to an email with two or three options, the cheapest being about £15 so for now im going to go with that. Unfortunately that means i need to repair the cigarette lighter and remove the centre console

Ive seen this guide on here, hopefully not all the steps required!
at which point ill also add a usb charger in to the other port space...

I should have paid more attention when i was fixing the centre vents but this looks like a phone cradle....there was a wire that runs from this into the rear of the radio (area) but i didnt follow it.. any thoughts? (sorry typecastboy i didnt ask that in the email i sent you - just working my way through stuff
