I have just purchased a 2014 fiat 500c. I want to play music through my phone but can't find basic instructions on how to set this up. I plug my phone in through the AUX/USB connector and press CD, it then just says AUX on the screen. When I press play on the music it just plays out the phone.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi; You're not doing anything wrong - it just doesn't work that way sadly. Either use a lead from your phone's 3.5mm socket to the AUX 3.5mm socket and select AUX, or transfer your music to a flash drive and plug it in the USB socket. At least the latter way you can control your music through the steering wheel buttons (or Blue&Me satnav if you have one).

In any case, enjoy your Cabrio - they're brilliant little cars.

Does the iphone play through the USB? I picked up my new 500 this afternoon and in my old car (renault) I just plugged my phone into the USB and it played music. When I plug the phone into the usb on the 500 it won't let me select USB as if there is nothing plugged in.

Unfortunately, no. I have plugged a usb stick in and it reads that fine. Could it be that I need the blue and me ipod/iphone adaptor? I don't know if my car has Blue and Me and can't seem to find any indication on whether or not it does

On ours there is a flag type logo on the left side of the steering wheel. If you press that does the car talk to you?
