More likely something has become detached in the mechanism and the motor is probably fine, pop off the door panel and have a look
Yes I know but I am useless with that stuff and I don't want to break anything. By taking the spare part I will be forcing my crook dealer to investigate it and charge me the labor and fix it one way or another, because he refused to accept that it could be fixed and said its broken, you need a new one! He also told me not to play with it as if you do, you will probably break the glass when it falls into the door.

The motor is working fine as it makes noise when i move the window, but the issue is I can hear hanging parts when i drive in the door so something is loose/broken. Since typecastboy kindly is sending it for free to me, I might as well just replace it.

The only cost to me will be the Royal Mail delivery of 12 GBP.
I will change the window thing during my normal service anyway.

Well he might put it to better use if you don't really need it, why don't you investigate properly first before accepting his generous offer??

I tried to but I couldn't. The motor sounds completely messed up, better to be safe than sorry!

Ok guys just got it fixed. The plastic part of the Window motor that holds it in place completely broke off when I slammed the door when the window was down so without replacing the plastic part completely no chance of using the old one!

I suspected this as when I drove off after breaking it off as I could hear a part hanging loose as if it broke off.

So paid 30 euros for an Indy to fit the new one, it is working normally all well now. He warned me to avoid closing the door when the window is down as it is much easier to break it that way so be warned, no slamming the door and if you want to make sure the window is up!!

Thank you so much typecastboy for sending me the part it was very generous of you!!! Saved me a lot of cash!

Oh dear! Now the window can go up, but cannot go down! ='((((

At least it can stay in place.

A bit like the defecit then .
They are telling me its something wrong with the rubber parts of the window as its blocking the window from opening. They say the rubber probably messed up from being melted in the sun all these days.
It works intermittently so I guess I'll just live with it.
The part itself does not look broken to be honest as we checked.
So worst case I'll push the window down myself as it closes just fine with the button!
