We bought our 500 on 1 March 2016 and we got one year's cover for roadside assistance.

I was a bit surprised to find we were offered no renewal on this. When the car was in for service yesterday, the guy at the desk promised to get someone to call me Monday.

Has anyone else renewed after a year for roadside assistance?

I was a bit bemused to see that 3 years cover appears to be standard now

It's my daughter's car and I want peace of mind so I may go down the RAC route at a cost of around £45 for the year with cashback from Quidco.

I thought that Fiat extended the breakdown cover if using the dealer for servicing???? I could be wrong (I use an Independent) but it is worth checking.

If not, I use Start Rescue via Quidco. Better cover in my opinion than RAC and a fair price.

Thanks for the replies.

The dealer helpfully called me back after the weekend saying that as I'd had my car serviced there they would add on an extra year for roadside so good result all round.

I was sceptical when the service guy said they would call me but they did indeed so very happy with that.
