I have them switched on on the Fiat because it's only the side lights.


My other car is a Volvo XC70 and I got Volvo to switch off the DRLs on that because it was the main headlights. And being HID it meant that every time I started the engine it was 'igniting' the lights then switching off as the starter cranked then igniting again once the engine started which is not good for the life of bulbs or ballasts. I had to spend £250 replacing two dead D2R bulbs on it and thought, 'sod this'.


I am more than capable of switching lights on when it's dark or low visibility same as I still do in the 500.
