I swapped my "orange" speedo today for a digital one that I've had sitting in a cupboard for a year or so. Was just waiting for the car that deserved it.

My latest Cat D is just that car. Looks fab.

One question. I have a light up that looks like a tyre pressure light It looks like a tyre symbol and isn't actually showing on this picture. Is that something I can disable in MultiECUScan?

Pretty straight forward. You have to take the coloured dash insert off and the heater controls out, then remove the upper and lower steering wheel cowling.

One hex screw at the top followed by two at the bottom and the speedo cowling lifts off, there are then four screws holding the speedo in, remove them and it just lifts out. One electrical connection to disconnect and then refit the new one.

I thought it would pick up the mileage as this is an obvious way of clocking a car. If you even bought the old style one which you can get for about £40 on eBay as long as your MoT history didn't show a discrepancy you could easily clock your car if you wanted to. I will be using MultiECUScan to put mine back up to the mileage shown on the original.

I love it though! I will be keeping an eye out for more of these for future projects.

Not really, as the milage will flash if not corrected with a Proxi alignment. I guess yours was before increasing the mileage using MES

Have you gained any other cool features with the new unit out of interest?

I've done a proxy alignment and the mileage gas stopped flashing, but I haven't upped it yet, so if I was a criminal I could just leave it showing 5k. Don't think there are any new features just looks much sexier and when I sell it, hopefully more valuable and sellable.

Interesting, I was always led to believe that even after a proxy alignment that if the mileage didn't match that in the body computer then it'd always flash.

Learn something new every day! :)

Does the 'eco index' work? On a turbo car you might have picked up a boost gauge.
