Have just checked the coolant temperature gauge on the instrument panel in my my Fiat 500 pop's manual and it shows the coolant as being on the L/H side and the petrol gauge on the R/H side but on the instrument panel on the car it is the other way round. The manual say s this is for versions with colour display can anyone explain.Thank's

Do you have a gauge.?

But on the wrong side..??

Some cars just have an OVERTEMP. Warning Light..!!

On the instrument panel on the car the fuel gauge is on the L/H side and I am presuming that what is on the R/H side is the coolant gauge although in the manual they are on opposite sides. It is on page 7 in the manual and the heading says Versions with colour display and the top picture says Lounge and the bottom one says Sport and my car is neither.Have I been given the wrong manual.I could send a picture if it helps.

Do you mean a photo of the actual instrument panel in the car if so will have to do it later as the wife had just taken the car

The following are the photos from the instrument panel. The first shows it clearly D being the coolant gauge and C the petrol gauge. The next are from the manual

So the user manual is for a different model do I need to get the correct manual.

We have just picked up a new pop a couple of weeks ago and it's the same as yours. The manual is a bit generic (as usual these days) but the temp is definitely on the right and the fuel on the left. There should be a separate section in the manual for the new fancy display which yours doesn't have.

Yep can confirm that on the new fancy TFT display, the coolant temperature gauge is on the left and the fuel gauge is in the right.

Whilst the manual may be causing confusion remember at the base of each gauge there is at "fuel pump" and "thermometer "symbol to help clear things up and at start up the reading goes up at the base of each further confirming the scale for each readout.
