What holds the front wheel arch liners on a 500 please. I have had my roof and bonnet replaced and somehow the front wheel arch liner is not behind the edge of the wing.

It's held on by one thumb screw, sometimes two, one 10mm nut and about 3 Philips screws. 5 minute job to take off, tricky sometimes to get into the right position.

I have no idea, but I presume they cut the old one off and welded a new one on. probably at the base of the uprights. The front windscreen was removed and I presume that other stuff was done as well ?
What happened to the car to require a new roof?

The roof would be very much part of the structural integrity of the car, removing and welding in a new one sounds odd to me

It did to me but it was too damaged by hail to get smooth again. ???
I would have thought they would have filled it and /or used a dent removal specialist (PDR). I had a really nasty ding on the rear quarter of mine from I'm guessing a door of an MPV, it was very deep and the PDR guy did his magic and there was literally not a trace of it afterwards - seriously impressive. With the headlining on yours dropped out they would have had good access to the underside of the roof making the PDR a lot easier.

There were 40 to 50 dents in the roof and the bonnet was also replaced !
I would think they replaced the roof (skin) not the the whole top ie pillars etc that would be a re shell.

When I claimed, they put me through to AXA, who explained that the car would be collected. Then my phone rang from a firm called Fix Auto at Henley-On-Thames, to say they would pick my car upnext day. They brought me a hire car two days later and that was all I saw of my car for 3 weeks ! Then it came home looking as good as it came out of the showroom ! One is now a happy retired bunny
Oh so they put you through to AXA. They put me through to one based in Malta or somewhere, which I'm sure is perfectly legitimate, but it just didn't sit right.
