Hi all,

Enquiring on behalf of my wife's 2007 Fiat 500 1.4 Pop. Basically it has an issue where the Engine Management light stays on and it beeps and says "Check Engine" on the display. Now and again it will also will become very lumpy on idle and be juddering whilst driving. It also says now and again "ESP and Hill Holder not available" I know we need to get the codes read on it but just wondered if anyone had the same issues? All these issues happen at once and when it clears they all go at the same time. At the moment though it's just the Engine Management light on and seems to be a bit lumpy driving it.

Thanks for your help! :)

Checked the boot loom and all good so don't think it's that. Getting the codes read tmw so hopefully throw some more light on the case. :).

Will be interested to see what it turns out to be, our 09 1.2 suffered a failed spark plug lead leaving the engine rough and EML light on (flashing 4 times then pause turned out to be cylinder 4 ) it was a easy fix but no other lights .

I thought about leads but it didn't quite add up with the ESP and Hill Hold flagging up either though. Also thought it maybe an 02 sensor. Getting the codes checked today so will hopefully shed some light on the issue! :)

Hi all just had the codes read and its come back with P1684 and P1682. Using google I could only find them on a Punto forum which points to P1684 - Motorised Throttle (Plausibility) and P1682 - Motorised Throttle. Do these add up for a 500 and anyone had any issues with these codes before? Cheers. :)
