My missus' car needs new front shocks, I was looking for some and found Bilstein B4's which seem reasonable for a replacement/minor upgrade.

I jokingly suggested the B6 sports shocks as they were Yellow (her favourite colour) and she seemed to like the idea of firstly more yellow but secondly the better handling claimed by them.

Anyone done it before? Is it worth it?

Cheers,
Chris

Bilstein B4 shocks are effectively oem replacements but are 1000 percent better than the factory fitted dampers and I would recommend them.

Be aware, if you deviate from oem, i.e. go to 'uprated' dampers which B6 would effectively be, you should inform your insurer as it could be deemed a significant modification which could well invalidate your insurance if you were to be involved in an accident and hadn't informed your insurer.

why not do the Bilstein B14 kit? That's what i did when my rear shocks died, and it transformed the car.

Hi,
If you do find you have any issues with insurance for a change of suspension then please feel free to drop me a line.
Regards,
Dan.
