Can anyone help me. I have just got a Fiat 500 pop 12 plate and even though it says mp3 on the front of system there does not appear to be anything to plug into anywhere in the vehicle?? Confused

That marking indicates that the head unit on the pop radio/CD player will play CD's recorded in .mp3 format.
There is no provision to plug in any other kind of mp3 device unless your car had the (optional on the pop) Blue&Me module fitted. Retrofitting Blue&Me is generally considered problematic and not cost effective.
Some folks have rigged up various aftermarket solutions with cables attached to the back of the head unit, with varying degrees of success depending on precisely whch head unit has been fitted (there's been more than one type used over the production run).
I got a £7 lead to connect my ipod for music only no control, am looking at a Xcarlink box that gives you hands free calling and music streaming including music control wireless but Costs about £130
It's a pain, but a rewritable CD can be used just like a USB. In that it can have .mp3s added and removed all the time.
Still, much easier to pop a USB, or a friends' in to the slot.
