Hi, new to the forum and would like some advice on the spark plug brand/part number and recommended change intervals please.

I've been receiving contradicting advice from two Fiat main dealers, one says change every 9000 miles, the other 36000 miles!

Is the NGK ILKR9G8 the correct plug for the 105S TwinAir engine?

Is the change an easy job or best left to the dealer? Quite handy with spanners and would like to do the job myself to A, know that they are changed, and B, to save a few ££.

Thanks in advance.

All TA's come with Iridium plugs, according to the plug manufacturer, they're good for 60k miles as John's said. Fiat would like you to change them earlier, of course ;) I haven't done mine but I can't imagine it being any harder than it would be on any other front engined car.

Thanks for your replies.

For future reference, the NGK ILKR9G8 are the correct plug for the 105 engine and it is quite a straight-forward job to do after removing the plastic engine cover/air cleaner assembly. It's a 10mm bolt holding each coil pack down then a long spark plug socket is required to get to the plugs.
