USB broken-where can I get replacement?

Heavy handed wife has broken the pins in the USB port. Anyone know where I can buy another unit online? I don't want to get rinsed by the fiat dealer by asking them to replace it at next service.

2013 1.2 lounge

Thanks,

Billy

Thanks for your reply, Rick. I was after the genuine unit to replace the original.

Is it feasible to solder in a new socket?

Will take a look. Also found the fiat part number from typecastboy's ebay link. 735547937 Googled it and found some more online

Thanks to all who replied.

You can solder in pretty much anything if you've got enough skill and the right tools.

If you look on youtube at what some folks are doing with mobile phone boards, it's pretty amazing.

What I was getting at really is whether there's any problem with access to the socket - I presume it's on a circuit board but I've never seen the part in question. How would you remove it from the centre console?

You have to take out the front part of the centre console and it just pushes out. To remove you take out the separate rear bit first by undoing the two bolts under the rear cup holder rubber cover then the centre bolt in front of the handbrake and finally the two bolts under the front cup holder rubber mat. Disconnect the wires and fit the new one.

From what I remember it pushes down rather than up, so you can't take it out from above. There isn't much wire either so be careful you don't pull the centre console too hard while it is still attached.
Thanks Piccolo Nero e Bella, jrkitching thanked for this post
