Hi, I have just joined this group so forgive me if this is something already gone over before. I am looking for a holder for my samsung 5. After trolling the internet there are way too many with only 1 star. Can anyone recommend a make that doesn't fall off, melt or turn around - just some of the criticisms that I have read! Thanks.

There's a black and green range in Halfords that appear very good.

Do not get them - they all dropped off when I tried them. Guess the windscreen was too curved.

I had one that sat on my vents. But it scratched them so I'd avoid these at all costs.

I just gave up and pop my phone on speakerphone in my sunvisor. :)

I got one of these on eBay for a few quid. Does the job and easy to remove. You can still play CDs when it's installed.

I have one similar to this in my 500L, must say it is one of the best ones I have come across having this design as I have found all the ones purchased that stick to the windscreen have all fallen off after some time

Brodit mounts. They're not cheap, but they are very good!!

Choose the mount for your car, then the holder for your phone (if you have a case on your phone you may need to go for an adjustable holder)

Hi - I use this in my 500 - I've had it over a year and it's been in two cars - its quite simply the best one I've ever used

The suction pad is made of that sticky rubber those toys from the 1980's were made of - remember those rubber octopuses you used to throw at the window and they'd crawl down? :D

The pad can be washed with soap when you move it from car to car and believe me, this thing is an absolute bu**er to get off - even with the locking nut loosened you have to use two hands to remove it - the car could be hit side on by a bus and pushed off a cliff and when they find the wreck this would still be stuck to the windscreen. Can be pivoted to face any direction and looks good. Although I absolutely hate Maplin this is a pretty good product. Mine was bought in 2014 for £12.99 but the price seems to have gone up a bit now so they MUST be good lulz

Don't go for the 'official' Fiat cup holder one. Lasted about 4 months before the spring holder snapped.
I'm looking at the CD mount one now, I know the one from the genuine company is around £19 delivered so I'd be interested to see some cheaper ones :D

The thing is with those is that if you listen to music regularly from your phone which I do then you have a cable trailing down over the gearstick which is not ideal, same for windscreen mounts.
