With my recent venture that involved changing my speedo, I thought I'd chance buying one of the newer LCD style screens from the 500S.

I figured since it was the same CAN system it was communicating with it'd work just fine and I was correct gladly.

My 2008 built fiat is running a 2014 LCD Cluster and it's rather nice!

I have posted already in an existing thread but this highlights a particular success I haven't seen outlined on the net already.

Does absolutely everything work, including changing the car graphic?

I'm pleased for you but amazed it's that easy, it was standard on later 500S's & a £250 option on any other 500.

The only thing that I have found doesn't work is the Gas% when I switch into sport mode.

My car is a 1.4 so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Obviously this speedo has never been offered with a 1.4 100hp

Apart from that everything seems to work just fine.

Including the "ever so useful" eco index.

EDIT: I forgot in sport mode it shows 0.0g but I wasn't aware the 1.2S had a G-Meter? Maybe its seeing the 1.4 ECU and thinking its an abarth idk?

I think it was Pic Up spares in Swansea. He had it listed as a standard one I just happened to notice in the thumbnail on eBay that it has no dials!

PROXI aligned and mileage written today with MES no more flashing and it's running the correct mileage again!

It has however changed the display on the screen to the wretched lounge style and it looks horrible! There doesn't seem to be a way on MES to change it back either.

I know 50EUR isn't much but I don't like the fact that it has messed about with it like that.

Does this also mean that the not properly working gas% disappeared from the display?

I forgot the most obvious question: Is your car a 500 Lounge?

Lounge style means dials with some retro looking curved line instead of straight ticks and numbers that are not upright. Awful indeed.
