General Retrofit LCD Instrument Cluster

Hopefully I can :/ Bit of luck yani might come up with something. Not sure how good he is with his responses, is it possible to tag people on this forum software?

Received a response from yani this morning.

Sent him the CAN data from my car and see what he can do. Might need to call upon one of you guys that has MES and a Sport with an LCD Cluster!

Unfortunately we couldn't get it sorted as of yet. Might need someone with MultiECUScan that has a Sport with LCD Cluster to provide some CAN info.

Would be helpful for me and I guess will help yani with future development.

I'm considering changing the analogue display on our 1.2s to a digital one. If I were to get the TFT LCD Digital display, is it really a case of just swapping the items over, and then asking my local fiat dealer to do an ECU to cluster mileage alignment?

I currently have a digital display earmarked off a newer 1.2s that is being broken, so I guess that the digital cluster will be going into fundamentally the same car.

Hi guys, I've tried searching and can't find an answer to the problem I have after retro-fitting a LCD display to my wifes 2010 1.2 500.
Fitting was a breeze and I got the mileage flashing which as I understand I need to get a proxi alignment as the mileage is off, but I have another problem.
The indicators no longer work, neither do the headlights or the windscreen wipers but the emergency flash still works.
Pls tell me I haven't bricked anything, I initally thought wow this is easy however now I'm thinking what have I done, plus the wife wont be happy!
If anyone could shed any light on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Nik

All of the above worked perfectly fine without a proxi alignment for me, however I would suggest doing that before you troubleshoot any further.

A proxi alignment alone will not correct the mileage either, please make sure you enter that seperately by connecting to the dash via MES!

Thanks Pathaleon,
I've got a number of friends who have done it without any problems and after searching the net I can't seem to get any other info on my specific problem.
The only other thing I considered was pulling the cluster again & seeing if everything works with the old one.
Thanks for the advise regarding the MES, I'm waiting on a friend to lend me his laptop with everything I need - hopefully.
Cheers
Nik

Sounds more like you have disturbed a connection to the stalk switches when taking the dash out.

Robert G8RPI.

Thanks Robert, I hadn't really though of that.
Looks like I will take it out and try the original and go from there.

Robert you were right!
The plugs on the back of the column had moved out ever so slightly and were not making contact.
That was a quick 5 min fix and a quick pic of everything working :D
