Without that it would never have stopped at all. If it doesn't ever stop, then there are sensors to check before doing much else.

It's the "restarting after 2 seconds" that points to insufficient energy in the battery. This is extremely common, and often reported here; almost certainly a new battery will fix this. In fairness, just occasionally there have been cases where the alternator isn't charging correctly, but these are few and far between.
Very true Allmost certainly need a new battery I'd look for a AGM battery from Bosch Exide or varta myself if I was Getting a battery to ensure maximum lifespan for start stop

Information on the correct battery type was pretty scarce in this country when I was researching it a few years ago. FIAT dealers were no help, they had no more idea than I did, and in fact when they replaced my first battery under warranty they fitted a standard type (unfortunately I was ignorant of the requirement for a specific technology at that time). Nonetheless that battery lasted about three years before S/S began to play up again - it now operates our electric gates.

I eventually reached the head of Australasian sales of a local battery manufacturer who was able, after his own research, to confirm the correct type for a 2013 Twinair was EFB, and that's what I now have fitted.

Ironically I usually have S/S switched off these days but turn it on from time to time just to make sure it's still working.

I’m sure I’ve said this before… but I like to talk…… so I’ll say it again!
I replaced my battery with a Halfords SS battery my stop/start worked for 6 months … then nothing no SS at all and it really bothered me .. like an itch I couldn’t scratch
So I invested in a Varta AGM silver dynamic in all fairness it was only a little over the price of the Halfords battery ……
It’s been a year now & my SS has worked faultlessly! Every single day even though I sometimes turn it off due to the amount of traffic lights ?
And I cannot emphasis this enough…. Maintain your battery! Regular maintenance charge keeps your battery healthy

Our climate is much more benign toward battery health than some but as I'm averaging only six miles a week(!) at the moment because of lockdowns the car is on the charger for the rest of the time! The CTEK charger is one of the best investments you can make, especially if you have S/S.
I think your climate is better for the 500 full stop!? my alloys are in a state (diamond cut) due I guess in part to salt and grit and of course water!!

This is my battery voltage with only key on the "on" position and with my engine on.

But my battery still isn't good enough?

Try again with headlights.cabin fan and rear screen heater on .. ;)

My 2012 car had s.s that worked after a run for a few years

Not worked for s.s for around 6 years.. but gives similar figures to your pics

(y) Must admit the stories of corroded undersides, sump, wheels etc. do make me glad sometimes I live in Melbourne; we don't even have an MOT to worry about. Perfect Cabrio weather coming up and I'm stuck at home. Just over 1000 miles since the service last November - I've even had heretical thoughts that maybe I don't need a car any more...

Some people think S/S is pretty useless - well it's even more useless if the car doesn't even leave the garage!

Your not wrong! Rust it a real issue here! Though I have to say I think my car was garage kept pre my ownership as hardly any rust at all except the sump
Now I own her she’s in her garage and gets de salted every spring cleaned & protected twice a year!
I never imagined my car would be my hobby ?
It’s awful that your still in lockdown over here we are open though it’s debatable if that’s a good thing or not!
