Just wondering if a 2008 leather interior will fit my 2012 TA???

What's the technique of connecting power for airbags etc???

The interior should fit ok, I fitted an Abarth interior to mine this summer with no problems.

Regarding the air bag and seat sensors, I consulted a friend at a local body shop before changing the seats and this is what he advised.

Ignition off and Key out so there's no chance of switching on.

Disconnect plugs under the seat. replace the seats, reconnect plugs ensuring they're clipped home properly. only then replace the key and switch on. Do not try to move the car with either seat removed.

It worked fine for me.

Not sure this is wise, the airbags are still capable of firing with the ignition off (see GM for their trouble with an airbag control system that deactivated the airbags when the ignition was off).

I'd follow the haynes guidance:
Battery out and wait AT LEAST 10 minutes* to ensure the system has powered down completely

*Reasonable to assume that the airbag system has internal caps to ensure it can fire if a crash disconnects the battery.

I've just changed my seats as one of the seat airbags had deployed. The seats are simply 6 Allen bolts and two wired connections for the airbags that appreciate st the front of the seats nearest the doors
