Have a look on the famous auction site. You may find a bumper and a wing in the right colour. You can get a brand new OEM wing painted to your correct colour for about £120. There are always loads of bumpers available.

Be careful with the non OEM new bumpers though. I bought one painted a year ago and it was a bugger to fit.

Bumper can be changed without jacking up the wheels, just a few bolts and screws. There are guides on this forum how to do it. The wing is bolted on and glued (for want of a better term). I haven't done a wing, but think it's pretty straightforward.

Let us know how you get on.

have left it too a body repair company to do got new genuine fiat panels and they are spraying them to match my car still haven't got the car back as two weeks as a lot of work is needed on the car after the crash?

Pull out a plastic bumper?

That's right. Or "pop out" might be a better way of describing it. It can be done with a heat gun and some water I think. There was a guide on it. Not sure how well it works - sounds a bit hit and miss, but if you can do it for free, that's a plus!

cars not in a good way? needs new bumper, front wing, headlight, fog light, splash guard, strut, wish bone, stub axle, new alloy, new tyre, and maybe a new back axle?

Ouch! That's a nasty shock. Not unusual though in a modern car, hidden damage often turns even a superficial scrape into a costly repair.

The economics must now be heading toward this being an insurance claim, no?

the coat seems to be increasing every day but at the moment it's looking between £3000 £4000 I am trying to pay for it myself as if the insurance company is involved they will probably write the car off

Franchised dealer retail book starts at £6k so I doubt it'd be a write-off.

Perhaps your best option might have been to sell it to typecastboy as unrecorded salvage. I'll bet he'd have put it back on the road for less than £4k ;).

Once the repairers see an insurer is paying rather than the owner I bet it will be.

I just want my wee car back asap and fixed properly all with genuine fiat parts think that's why the cost is so high too

That's gutting news. Best of luck with it getting fixed. Might be worth you trawling breakers to see if you can sort some parts yourself. Alloys for example.

I saw a car written off from a low speed shunt. It looked fine, but there was damage hidden out of view that was too much to repair.

got more bad news about the car today, it does need a new back axle at £835 and a front right wheel hub at £335, bill is looking like its going to be near £4000 now? I managed to get 4 alloys of a fiat 500 that was being broke with less damage than mine for £300, 3 good alloys and 3 good Goodyear tyres, one alloy and tyre was damaged, car only had 1400 miles on it, 1 brand new alloy for mine from fiat was £300 alone

Condolences, I'm sorry to hear it's going to be a larger bill than you hoped for.

Fingers crossed for you that it all gets sorted out now with no more nasty surprises.

thanks as long as my little car gets fixed and fixed properly that's all that matters ?

Bumper, £70, wing £50, headlight £30, fog light £20, splash guard £10, wheel and tyre £100. So that's all the pretty bits for less than £300.

Oily bits are cheap enough to buy, just a bit trickier to put on. If you can find a mechanic who likes a bit of cash, I'm sure he'll do you a good deal. Why on earth might it need a new rear axle?

Front parts you've described will be cheap as chips to buy. Not sure how much a rear axle would be.
