Any ideas on how to check the antifreeze strength on my 500 1.2 pop.59 plate. purchased a tester for my other vehicle, which was easy with the reservoir, being well placed, but the 500 is down that vertical plastic tube ? Not going to suck any up any tubing

If you do suck it up the tubing you don't need the tester, you can tell by tthe taste, antifreeze is sweet

More seriously you could use an old plastic squeeze (fairy liquid) bottle and a bit of pipe to suck some up.

Unless you're 100% certain that it's been changed within the last two years, I wouldn't bother testing it - just replace it. I'd be much more concerned about loss of corrosion protection than its freezing point; both radiator & water pump are relatively fragile and won't last long if the corrosion protection of the coolant is compromised. Draining and refilling the coolant is easy and inexpensive.

But if you want a sample, just buy a cheap turkey baster - they turn up in the pound shops periodically, and they're quite useful at hydraulic fluid change time too.
