i have not long bought my car which is a 2008 fiat 500 1.4 sport i have been looking for a supercharger / turbo kit for my car but am having no luck finding one in the uk. could someone please help me with any links to places that do them?
thanks :)

I think you'll find that in order to use a turbo on a non-turbo engine, the cylinder head would have to be changed or at least modified. The volume in the head is different and the compression ratio too. Also, the bottom end needs to be strengthened.

Ain't worth it at all.

Either buy an Abarth, or fit a turbo-specific engine.

Regards,
Mick.

I would recommend the 105HP twin air, great fun to drive and economical when your right foot feels like a rest.
One thing I have noticed about the 105HP twin air over most normal turbo engines is the lack of turbo lag, it picks up very quickly indeed.

All of these answers are correct, the expense to turbo a standard 1.4 will be way more than the cost of chopping it in for an Abarth or twin air, both of which would also be more reliable, plus the Abarth, which is basically a turbo'd version of the 1.4, has a bigger front bumper to fit the bigger radiator, oil cooler and intercooler radiator in it. Really not worth the effort!

Buy an Abarth, the 105 twinair has almost identical performance to the regular 1.4 (from what i heard even less reliable) and you wont feel any real upgrade except the interior
