Can the module for the airbags be reset using MultiECUscan? Either via the normal ODB port or by plugging directly into the ECU?

I have a replacement but it looks like a pig to get to the 3 bolts to take it out and if it can be reset in situ saves me putting my replacement one in

It is possible to clear stored airbag errors with MultiEcuScan. For doing this you need the yellow adapter cable.

Thanks, do you plug direct into the ecu or still via the port as normal?

Everything it via the OBD.

I'd be very surprised if you can't sort it with MES. TBH I'm not aware of Fiat airbag ECUs needing replacing. I think its a mixture of scare-mongouring and ignorance that leads people to believing it had to be done.

Oh really, that's good to hear. Actually most of the airbag kits don't include an ecu. Mine just happened to. I'll have to try once I've replaced the seat belts tomorrow. Thanks
